Slack

The Slack integration posts TrueGrade alerts — expiring documents, verification requests, field issues, and message activity — directly into a Slack channel your team already watches. It is one of the available notification channels.

Slack notifications are configured under Settings → Integrations → Notifications → Slack. Only Admin and Platform Admin roles can connect Slack.

What You Need

  • A Slack workspace where you can add an app (workspace admin approval may be required)
  • The Slack channel you want TrueGrade to post into (for example #compliance or #field-ops)

Connecting Slack

Start the connection

Go to Settings → Integrations → Notifications → Slack and click Connect Slack. TrueGrade sends you to Slack to authorize the connection.

Choose the channel and approve

In Slack, pick the channel TrueGrade should post to and click Allow. If your workspace requires admin approval, a workspace admin completes this step.

Confirm the test message

TrueGrade posts a test message to the channel and returns you to the settings page. If the test message appears in Slack, the channel shows Connected.

Choosing What Gets Posted

Connecting Slack makes it available as a delivery method. To control which alerts go to Slack, open Settings → Alert Cadence and select Slack for the notification types you want — for example, expiration alerts but not routine digests.

Post compliance and verification alerts to a dedicated channel rather than a busy general channel, so deadline notices don’t scroll away unread.

Disconnecting

Click Disconnect on the Slack panel to stop all posts. You can also remove the TrueGrade app from your Slack workspace directly in Slack; if you do, the panel will show Disconnected until you reconnect.
