Action Items
Action Items is a single screen that gathers everything needing your attention across TrueGrade — approvals you owe, items waiting on someone else, things past due, and tasks you’ve added yourself. Instead of hunting through each part of the platform, you start your day here.
The screen is organized into six fixed groups:
| Group | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Priority | Items flagged high, urgent, or critical |
| Overdue | Items past their due date |
| Waiting | Items blocked on another person’s response |
| Workflow Blockers | Items holding up an approval or process step |
| Snoozed | Items you’ve hidden until a later date |
| Upcoming | Items with a due date coming soon |
Who Uses This
Every user has an Action Items screen showing their own items. A personal / organization-wide toggle lets Admin, Project Manager, and Senior Estimator roles (and Platform Admin) switch to an organization-wide view of what’s outstanding across the team.
Where to Find It
Action Items is a top-level entry in the left navigation sidebar, near Dashboard and Projects.
Working Your Action Items
Review the groups
Scan Priority and Overdue first — those are the items most likely to need action today. Each card shows the item’s title, priority, due date, and the project it belongs to.
Switch scope if you manage a team
If your role allows it, use the Personal / Organization-wide toggle at the top to see everything outstanding across your organization, not just items assigned to you.
Add a new action item
Press N anywhere on the screen (or click the + button) to open the quick-add panel. Enter a title, set a priority (Low, Normal, High, Urgent, or Critical), and optionally add a due date, a project, and a note.
Snooze what isn’t ready
If an item can’t move forward yet, snooze it to a future date. It leaves your active groups and reappears — under Upcoming, then Overdue — when the snooze ends.
Complete items as you finish
Mark an item complete when the work is done. It clears from your groups and the counts update immediately.
Many action items are created automatically by TrueGrade — for example, a timesheet awaiting your approval or a compliance document that needs review. You don’t have to add everything by hand; the quick-add panel is for the tasks TrueGrade can’t see on its own.
