Microsoft Teams

The Microsoft Teams integration posts TrueGrade alerts — expiring documents, verification requests, and field notifications — into a Teams channel. It is the natural notification channel for organizations that run on Microsoft 365.

Teams notifications are configured under Settings → Integrations → Notifications → Microsoft Teams. Only Admin and Platform Admin roles can connect Teams.

What You Need

  • A Microsoft Teams team and channel where you can add an app
  • Permission to authorize an app in your Microsoft 365 organization (a Teams or tenant admin may need to approve it)

Connecting Microsoft Teams

Start the connection

Go to Settings → Integrations → Notifications → Microsoft Teams and click Connect Teams. TrueGrade sends you to Microsoft to sign in and authorize.

Approve access and pick the channel

Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account and approve the requested permissions. Choose the team and channel TrueGrade should post to. If your organization requires admin consent, an administrator completes this step.

Confirm the test message

TrueGrade posts a test message to the channel. When it appears, the panel shows Connected.

Choosing What Gets Posted

Connecting Teams makes it available as a delivery method. Choose which alerts go to Teams under Settings → Alert Cadence by selecting Teams for the notification types you want.

Teams and Slack can both be connected at the same time — for example, if your office uses Teams and a subcontractor coordination group uses Slack. Each alert type is routed independently.

Disconnecting

Click Disconnect on the Teams panel to stop all posts. Removing the TrueGrade app from Teams directly will also stop delivery and the panel will show Disconnected.
