Weather & Temperature
On a daily report, the Weather section has two fields:
- Conditions — clear, partly cloudy, rain, snow, and so on
- Temperature — for example,
72°F / 55°F
It Fills In Automatically
When you pick a project and date, TrueGrade tries to fill in the weather for that job’s location automatically. If it finds it, the two fields populate on their own — you don’t have to look anything up.
- It only fills blank fields. Anything you’ve already typed is left alone.
- You can always edit what it filled in.
- Tap Refresh to pull the weather again — this replaces the fields with a fresh reading (useful if you changed the date).
Auto-fill is a convenience, not a hard requirement. If it can’t get the weather — no location set, or the lookup isn’t available — the fields simply stay blank and you can type them in. It never blocks your report.
Why Weather Matters
Weather is one of the most useful things a daily report captures. A dated record of conditions supports schedule discussions and documents weather-related delays. That’s why, if you leave weather blank, you’ll see a gentle reminder on the review screen — see Missing Information. It’s expected, but it never stops you from submitting.
If the auto-filled weather doesn’t match what you saw on site, trust your eyes — edit it. Your first-hand observation is the point of the report.
