TrueGrade’s cost intelligence module gives construction teams real-time visibility into project financials. From initial estimate through final billing, every cost is tracked against your cost code structure and surfaced in budget vs. actual reporting.

Core Concepts

• Cost codes — the organizational backbone. Every estimate line and cost actual is assigned to a cost code (e.g., 06100 · Rough Carpentry, 15400 · Plumbing). TrueGrade supports MasterFormat, CSI, or custom code sets.
• Estimates — the projected budget broken into line items, each tied to a cost code and scope item
• Cost actuals — real spend entered as invoices arrive, POs are issued, or receipts are recorded
• Variance — the difference between estimated and actual at any level: line item, cost code, trade, or total project
