Notification Channels

TrueGrade keeps your team informed about compliance deadlines, verification requests, field issues, and message activity. A notification channel is the delivery method TrueGrade uses to reach your team — email, a chat app, or a text message.

You configure notification channels under Settings → Integrations → Notifications. Only Admin and Platform Admin roles can add or change a channel.

Available Channels

How Channels Work Together

Email is always available and needs no setup. Slack, Teams, and SMS are optional and can run alongside email — you are not choosing one instead of another. A common setup is:

  • Email for daily digests and routine notices
  • Slack or Teams for the office team’s real-time alerts
  • SMS reserved for urgent, day-of deadlines that field crews must not miss

Which events go to which channel is set per notification type under Settings → Alert Cadence and Settings → Notification Preferences. Adding a channel here makes it available to select; it does not turn on every alert automatically.

Checking Channel Health

Each configured channel shows a status in the integrations list:

  • Connected — the channel is authorized and delivering
  • Warning — configured but a recent send failed (check the channel’s logs)
  • Disconnected — the authorization expired or was revoked; reconnect to resume

If alerts stop arriving on a chat channel, confirm the channel still exists and that the TrueGrade app was not removed from your workspace.
