Notification Channels
TrueGrade keeps your team informed about compliance deadlines, verification requests, field issues, and message activity. A notification channel is the delivery method TrueGrade uses to reach your team — email, a chat app, or a text message.
You configure notification channels under Settings → Integrations → Notifications. Only Admin and Platform Admin roles can add or change a channel.
Available Channels
The default channel. Delivers digests, alerts, and invitations to any inbox.
EmailPost alerts to a Slack channel so your team sees them without leaving Slack.
SlackPost alerts to a Teams channel for organizations that run on Microsoft 365.
Microsoft TeamsSend text messages for time-critical alerts to field staff who don’t check email.
Twilio SMSHow Channels Work Together
Email is always available and needs no setup. Slack, Teams, and SMS are optional and can run alongside email — you are not choosing one instead of another. A common setup is:
- Email for daily digests and routine notices
- Slack or Teams for the office team’s real-time alerts
- SMS reserved for urgent, day-of deadlines that field crews must not miss
Which events go to which channel is set per notification type under Settings → Alert Cadence and Settings → Notification Preferences. Adding a channel here makes it available to select; it does not turn on every alert automatically.
Checking Channel Health
Each configured channel shows a status in the integrations list:
- Connected — the channel is authorized and delivering
- Warning — configured but a recent send failed (check the channel’s logs)
- Disconnected — the authorization expired or was revoked; reconnect to resume
If alerts stop arriving on a chat channel, confirm the channel still exists and that the TrueGrade app was not removed from your workspace.
