Field ReportingSafety Topic Library

Safety Topic Library

The Safety Topic Library is your starting point for toolbox talks and safety meetings. It combines a built-in set of OSHA-aligned topics — covering hazards like fall protection, ladders, silica, and lockout — with custom topics your organization writes for its own conditions. From a topic you run a talk on site and collect a signed attendance record from the crew, creating documented proof that the meeting happened.

Who Uses This

The library is visible to Admin, Project Manager, Foreman, and Field User roles (and Platform Admin) — the people who plan and run field safety meetings. Creating custom topics is reserved for Admin, Project Manager, and Platform Admin. (Accounting does not use this area.)

Where to Find It

The Safety topic library sits under the Field group in the left navigation sidebar.

Using the Library

Browse and filter topics

Open the library to see all available topics. Filter by hazard category, narrow to platform topics or your organization’s custom topics, or search by keyword to find the talk you need.

Add a custom topic (optional)

If your crew faces a hazard the built-in topics don’t cover, authorized users can create a custom topic — assign it a hazard category and write the talking points. Custom topics live alongside the platform topics for everyone in your organization.

Run a toolbox talk

Start a talk from a topic. This opens attendance for the crew and captures the hazard category, project, and date so the meeting is tied to the right job.

Collect signed attendance

Crew members sign in to acknowledge the talk. Attendance is captured with a signature and timestamp, giving you a defensible record that each person attended.

Platform topics give you a ready library on day one, so you can hold a compliant toolbox talk without writing content from scratch. Reserve custom topics for hazards specific to your projects and methods.
