Troubleshooting
Most field-side snags have a quick fix. Here are the common ones.
”I can’t submit — it won’t let me.”
A required field is blank. TrueGrade lists exactly which ones. Look for the fields marked with an asterisk (*) and the reminder message, fill them in, and try again. See Required Fields.
”My total hours look wrong.”
You don’t type total hours — they’re calculated from your Clock In, Clock Out, and Break. If the total is off:
- Check your clock-in and clock-out times.
- Check the Break (min) — it’s deducted from your hours.
- Make sure clock-out is after clock-in.
The total updates as you fix these. See Timesheets.
”The weather is blank or wrong.”
Weather fills in automatically from the project’s location, but it can’t always find it. Just type it in, or tap Refresh to try again. You can always edit it. See Weather & Temperature.
”I submitted a daily report and now I can’t edit it.”
Submitted daily reports are locked — that’s by design, so the record stays trustworthy. To correct something after submitting, contact your supervisor or project manager.
”I can’t add a photo.”
Save the report or note as a draft first — photos attach to a saved entry. Then check the file is an accepted type (PDF, JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC) and under 20 MB. See Mobile & Offline.
”It won’t capture my location.”
If your company uses location on time entries, your browser must be allowed to share it. Check your phone’s location permission for TrueGrade, then reopen the timesheet. Your entry still saves either way.
”A screen is missing or read-only.”
Your role decides what you can see and do. If a screen you expect isn’t there, it’s likely handled by a supervisor or the office. See Permissions.
”My save seems stuck.”
You need a connection to save. Move to better signal and try again, and wait for the on-screen confirmation before moving on. Saving drafts often protects your work on spotty sites.
Still stuck after trying the fix above? See Support — and note anything you can’t do here in Known Limitations first, in case it’s expected.
