Known Limitations

TrueGrade’s field tools are growing steadily. Here’s an honest picture of the current boundaries so you know what to expect. None of these should get in your way day to day — they’re just good to know.

Submitted Entries Are Locked

Once you submit a daily report or a timesheet, it becomes the official record and can’t be edited. This is deliberate — it keeps the record trustworthy. If something needs to change afterward, contact your supervisor or project manager.

Drafts, of course, stay fully editable until you submit them.

You See Your Own Entries

As a field user, you see and edit your own timesheets, reports, and notes — not other people’s. Supervisors, project managers, and admins see across the whole project. See Permissions.

No Separate Crew List to Maintain

There’s no roster to build before you can log a crew. Team members appear as name suggestions, and anyone else (like a sub’s crew) is typed in as free text. See Crew Management.

A Connection Is Needed to Save

TrueGrade saves and submits over the internet. On sites with weak signal, save drafts often and wait for the on-screen confirmation before moving on. See Mobile & Offline.

Weather Auto-Fill Isn’t Guaranteed

Weather fills in from the project’s location when it can, but it can’t always find it. When that happens, the fields stay blank and you type them in. It never blocks your report. See Weather & Temperature.

New field capabilities are added regularly. If something you’d expect isn’t here yet, it may simply be on the way — and your feedback helps decide what comes next. See Support.
