Submitting
Every field entry — timesheet, daily report, or project note — follows the same path from a rough draft to an official record.
Save a Draft Any Time
If you’re not finished, tap Save Draft. A draft:
- Keeps everything you’ve entered so far
- Doesn’t check required fields — you can save it half-done
- Is visible and editable only by you
- Waits for you to come back and finish it
Drafts are the safe way to start something now and finish it later — for example, opening a report in the morning and completing it at the end of the day.
Submit for Review
When you’re ready, tap Review & Submit (or Submit for Review on a timesheet). TrueGrade:
- Checks the required fields are filled in.
- Shows you the review screen to confirm.
- Makes the entry official when you tap Confirm.
What Happens After You Submit
- Timesheet — goes to your project’s reviewers for approval. Once approved, the hours are recorded against the project and cost code.
- Daily report — becomes the official record for that day and is locked — it can’t be edited afterward.
- Project note — is saved and visible to you (and your project’s managers). You can still edit or remove your own notes.
A submitted daily report can’t be edited. If you spot a mistake after submitting, contact your supervisor or project manager — see Troubleshooting.
A Quick Recap
| Action | What it does | Can you change it later? |
|---|---|---|
| Save Draft | Stores your progress privately | Yes — edit the draft freely |
| Submit (timesheet) | Sends hours for approval | Locked once submitted |
| Submit (daily report) | Files the official day record | Locked once submitted |
| Create (project note) | Saves the note | Yes — edit or remove your own |
When in doubt, save a draft. There’s no downside — nothing is official until you deliberately confirm it.
